Minutes: It was RESOLVED to confirm as a true record the minutes of the meeting of
the Committee held on the 21 October 2023. Matters arsing None. |

Minutes: Consideration was given to the General Update
report on Taxis and other matters (Non-Statutory). The
report had been presented in order to advise Members
of activity undertaken by the Licensing Section since the last Committee
meeting and also advise on current work being undertaken.
Following questions
from the floor, it was AGREED (i) to note the report for
information; and (ii) to approve the necessity to
amendment the licensing policies to implement the recommendations made by
Internal Audit. |

Minutes: The Chair welcomed
to the meeting Dr Sarah Jones, Senior Environmental Health Advisor, Welsh
Government to provide an overview of the mandatory licensing scheme for special
procedures in Wales in conjunction with the report presented. The following information was provided:- ·
Public Health risks were well documented and
underreported. This was exacerbated by a fragmented regulatory framework. ·

Local Authority Preparations ·
Active engagement with Local Authority and industry
stakeholder is critical ·
