Minutes:

It was RESOLVED to confirm as a true record the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on the 16 September 2021.

 

6(iii) Councillor Gareth Davies requested if a response had been received from the gambling commission in respect of restricting the advertisement of gambling websites. The Senior Licensing Officer and Chair apologised and reported that there had been a misunderstanding of who would be sending the letter. It was reported that the officer would contact the chair to discuss the content of the letter and to send it to the gambling commission accordingly.

Consideration was given to the Report of the  Trading Standards & Licensing Manager and Senior Licensing Officer advising Members of activity undertaken by the Licensing Section since the last Committee meeting as follows:-

·         Statement of Gambling Policy - 2022-2025  Gambling Act 2005 – Update

·         Gambling Act 2005 – Update

·         Gambling Act 2005 Underage Sales Test Purchasing – Gaming Machines

·         Attendance at County BOBB (Behaved or Be Banned) Meetings - Drink Spiking and other issues

·         Visits to Late Night Refreshments Licensed Premises in Aberystwyth

·         Licensing Reviews/Hearings.

·         Extension of Hearing Period

·         Application to Vary Premises Licence Hearing

·         Proposal to Relax Licensing Hours - HRH Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

·         Temporary Changes to Temporary Event Notices

·         Extension of Alcohol Off Sales - The Alcohol Licensing (Coronavirus)(Regulatory Easements)(Amendment) Regulations 2021.
