To consider planning applications deferred at previous Meetings of the Committee pdf icon PDF 701 KB

Minutes:

Consideration was given to the Report of the Corporate Lead Officer – Economy and Regeneration  on the following planning applications which had been considered at a previous meeting and which required further consideration by the Committee:-

A210463 Proposed erection of a single storey dwelling, Land At Woodcroft Capel Dewi, Aberystwyth

To note that the application had been WITHDRAWN prior to the meeting

            ________________________________________________________________________

A210464 Erection of steel framed storage shed to be used for the storage of machinery and fodder, Tyncelyn Fields, Llangeitho, Tregaron

To REFUSE the application for the following reasons:

1. The application fails to demonstrate a need for the proposed development in this             location. Therefore there was not sufficient justification for allowing development in the    open countryside in line with national planning policy. The proposal was therefore contrary to Technical Advice Note 6: Planning for Sustainable Rural Communities (2010).

2.The application site was located in a prominent location in the landscape away from any lawful built form. Therefore, the siting and scale of the development was considered to be detrimental to the character and appearance of the landscape and area. Consequently, the proposed development is contrary to Policies DM06 and DM17 of the Local Development Plan.
